University of Zakho Lecturers Participate in TRANSITION Project

From December 8 to 11, 2025, four lecturers from the University of Zakho participated in a project entitled “TRASITION: Preserving the Tangible and Intangible Cultural Heritage of Minority Communities in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and in Yemen”. Noteworthy, the project was held in the city of Sulaymaniyah over a period of four days.

The objective of the participation in the project was to contribute to the advancement of an inclusive and activist learning environment by raising levels of awareness and emphasizing the importance of the tangible and intangible cultural heritage of minority communities. It is noteworthy that eight universities from the Kurdistan Region, Yemen, Italy, and Portugal took part in the project.
